Privacy Policy
MiraCycle (the “app”) is designed to be the most private menstrual cycle and fertility tracker available. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it lives, and what we — the publishers of MiraCycle — can and cannot see.
Summary, in plain English
- Your cycle data lives on your phone, in an encrypted local database.
- If you choose to back up, the backup goes to your own Google Drive, under your account. We never see the contents.
- We do not sell, share, mine, monetise or transmit your cycle data to any third party — including us.
- There are no ads and no third-party trackers in MiraCycle.
- You can export your full data at any time, and delete it permanently with one tap.
What data the app stores locally
MiraCycle stores the data you enter into the app on your device: cycle dates, flow intensity, mood, symptoms, basal body temperature, cervical mucus, intimacy logs, notes, TTC and IVF settings, medication reminders, and app preferences. This data is held in a database that is encrypted at rest.
Backups (optional, opt-in)
If you enable backup, the app uses the Google Drive API to upload an encrypted backup file to the App Data folder of your own Google Drive. This folder is only accessible to MiraCycle and to you — not to other apps or to us. We do not operate a server that touches your backup.
You can disable backup, change accounts, or delete past backups at any time from the app's Settings.
What the app does not do
- It does not include advertising SDKs.
- It does not include third-party analytics that profile users.
- It does not transmit your cycle data to MiraCycle's servers (we do not operate one for this purpose).
- It does not share or sell your data to insurers, advertisers, or data brokers — ever.
Permissions
- Notifications — to deliver the reminders you set up (medication, tests, period predictions).
- Internet — only when you opt into Google Drive backup, to talk to Google's API.
- Google Account — only the scope required to read and write MiraCycle's backup folder in your Drive.
Children
MiraCycle is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has used MiraCycle on a device under your care and would like the data removed from that device, simply uninstall the app or use the in-app data-deletion option.
Your rights
You have the right to access, export, and delete your data at any time, directly from the app. Because we do not host your data, you do not need to make a request to us — the controls live in your hands.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and surface the change in the app itself before it takes effect.
